Mindis J Barker March 14, 1954 – September 1, 2008 Mindis Barker passed away September 1st, 2008 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She is survived by her spouse, Thomas J. Birch of Petaluma and his two sons Daniel and Ryan. She is also survived by her mother Donna May Fisher, Step-Father Lloyd M. Fisher, Sister Lesa L. Fisher, and Brother Bix Barker of Eugene, OR. Mindis always put people first and will be missed by her many friends including some of her closest friends, Jaime Plog, Marilyn LoRusso, Linda Buell, and Janet Nogara.
Mindis worked as a singer-songwriter, as an investigator in medical and criminal matters, in the landscape industry, and in the health club field for many years. She had a passion for animals, especially horses, and enjoyed leisure time riding and caring for them. People often described her as charismatic, beautiful, and genuine.
She lived with integrity and always tried to do the right thing no matter how difficult. She supported many environmental causes and had a passion for encouraging others in prevention and early detection of breast cancer. |
